Jamestown, NY – A Jamestown resident is in custody following a domestic dispute late Saturday night.
On May 18, 2024, at approximately 11:09 PM, Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a domestic dispute on the North Side. Abner Cintron-Melendez, 39, was arrested for violating an Order of Protection by assaulting the victim. Additionally, Cintron-Melendez allegedly took the victim’s cellphone to prevent a 911 call.
He faces charges of Aggravated Criminal Contempt (felony), Assault in the Third Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree. Cintron-Melendez is held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
