(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – Anne E. Robbins, already on probation for a prior forgery, faces new felony charges following a recent traffic stop in Jamestown.
On the evening of June 27, 2024, at approximately 10:57 PM, Jamestown Police officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Forest Avenue and Columbia Avenue due to multiple observed traffic and equipment violations. The routine stop escalated when officers discovered that the vehicle’s license plate was forged.
The driver, Anne E. Robbins, a 40-year-old resident of Jamestown, was arrested on the charge of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd Degree. This arrest is particularly significant as Robbins is currently on probation for a similar offense earlier this year, involving another forged license plate.
Robbins was taken into custody and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, Robbins is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
