(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – A Jamestown resident faces charges of criminal mischief after allegedly damaging property during a domestic altercation early Tuesday morning.

In the early hours of September 18, 2024, at approximately 12:49 A.M., Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance on the city’s west side. Ronald J. Maund, a 23-year-old Jamestown resident, was identified as the suspect in the incident.

Upon arrival, officers found that Maund had already left the scene in a vehicle. The police quickly located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Following a conversation with the victim, it was revealed that Maund had caused significant damage to the victim’s property during the domestic dispute.

Maund was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree. Maund is currently being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
