(WNY News Now) – On October 21, 2024, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint of criminal trespass at the Ripley Town Building, located at 14 N State St.

Upon arrival at the scene around 12:27 PM, deputies learned that Patrick J. Bowman, a 34-year-old resident of Ripley, had allegedly entered the building without permission. Authorities quickly determined that Bowman’s actions constituted criminal trespass in the third degree.

Bowman was taken into custody at the scene and subsequently released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ripley Court at a later date to answer the charges against him. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
