(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident faces charges following a disturbing incident at a West 3rd Street address.
JAMESTOWN, NY – On January 3, 2025, at approximately 12:57 PM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon responded to a sex offense complaint on West 3rd Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female victim and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Through their inquiries, police identified Schuyler S. Coleman, a 27-year-old Jamestown resident, as the suspect. According to the report, Coleman was observed engaging in inappropriate behavior in the trash room at the location. Specifically, he was allegedly seen playing with his intimate part.
Officers quickly located Coleman in the vicinity and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Coleman is charged with Public Lewdness, a misdemeanor offense under New York Penal Law. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
