(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A routine traffic stop in Jamestown early Wednesday led to the arrest of a woman on multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the third platoon conducted a traffic stop at approximately 2:07 a.m. on January 29 near the intersection of Sturges Street and Falconer Street. During the stop, officers determined that the driver, identified as 38-year-old Crystal M. Vogt, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Further investigation revealed Vogt’s blood alcohol content (BAC) exceeded the legal limit of 0.08%. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Vogt faces multiple charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (1192-3), Driving with a BAC Over 0.08% (1192-2), Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle (1227(1)), and Failure to Use a Proper Turn Signal (1163D).
She was issued traffic tickets and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
