(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY — Three individuals were arrested early this morning after a traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine and other criminal charges.

On February 6, 2025, at approximately 1:46 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon conducted a traffic stop in the area of E 2nd Street and Kipp Street. The stop was made after the officers observed a traffic violation.

During the investigation, officers discovered that the driver, 30-year-old Devan M. Huntington, along with his passengers, 27-year-old Janie K. Blakey and 43-year-old Tracy L. Griffin, were in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. Blakey, who was found to have an active warrant for her arrest, initially attempted to conceal her identity by providing false information to the officers.

Upon being transported to the Jamestown City Jail, further investigation revealed that Huntington was carrying a large quantity of methamphetamine, which he tried to destroy by ripping open the bags and throwing them on the ground. Officers recovered a total of 51.3 grams of methamphetamine during the investigation.

As a result of the arrest, Huntington faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Blakey is charged with Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Griffin is facing Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.

Huntington and Blakey were held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. Griffin was issued an appearance ticket under New York State’s Bail Reform Act.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
