(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was taken into custody Friday night following a domestic dispute on the city’s south side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 2nd Platoon responded to a domestic dispute in progress at approximately 9:32 p.m. on February 14. Upon investigation, authorities determined that Dustin D. Smouse, 29, had damaged property belonging to the victim during the altercation.

Smouse was arrested without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
