(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A man wanted for burglary was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after officers conducted a street check, leading to additional drug-related charges.
At approximately 2:09 a.m. on March 12, 2025, officers from the Third Platoon observed 43-year-old James R. Wall walking near Tops on Foote Avenue. Wall had an active arrest warrant for burglary in the third degree, petit larceny, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and possession of burglar tools.
Upon stopping Wall, officers found him in possession of burglar tools and a quantity of methamphetamine. He was subsequently charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, and possession of burglar tools.
Wall was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
