(WNY News Now) – William C. Leamer, 42, was taken into custody after an early morning domestic dispute on June 10, resulting in charges of third-degree assault.

JAMESTOWN — Police responded to a domestic dispute at a Southside residence just after 1 a.m. on June 10, where a 42-year-old man, William C. Leamer, allegedly struck a victim in the face, causing physical injury.

According to authorities, officers from the third platoon arrived promptly at the scene and, following their investigation, determined that an assault had occurred. Leamer was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Leamer faces a charge of third-degree assault and remains held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
