(WNY News Now) – A man was hospitalized following a structure fire at Crestview Estates in Brocton, prompting a multi-agency investigation.

BROCTON, NY – Authorities are investigating the cause of a mobile home fire that broke out on Monday afternoon, August 5, at Crestview Estates Mobile Home Park, located at 133 Lake Avenue in the Village of Brocton.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 2:30 p.m. after reports of a structure fire with possible entrapment. The Brocton Fire Department responded to the scene, with assistance from several mutual aid fire departments, Chautauqua County EMS, the New York State Police, and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

One male occupant was rescued and transported by ambulance to a hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania, for treatment. His current condition has not been released.

Due to the nature of the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was called in to determine the origin and cause of the blaze. Investigators are working closely with the New York State Police as the inquiry remains ongoing.
