(WNY News Now) – A Hinsdale resident is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a pressure washer from a local business.

HINSDALE, N.Y. — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 28-year-old James A. Walton of Hinsdale, NY, in connection with a theft reported in the early morning hours of August 3, 2025.

According to a press release issued by Sheriff Eric A. Butler, Walton is accused of stealing a pressure washer from outside Finn’s Roadside, a business located in Hinsdale. Following an investigation, Walton was identified as the suspect and was subsequently arrested.

He has been charged with Trespass, Petit Larceny, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree.

Walton was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to be arraigned at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
