(WNY News Now) – The Jamestown police department and fire department are on scene in response to a collision between a car and motorcycle on Barrett Avenue.

Jamestown, N.Y. – A collision between a Jeep and a motorcycle has occurred on Barrett Avenue in Jamestown, next to UPMC Jones Memorial Health Center. JPD and the Jamestown Fire Department are currently on the scene.

JPD has blocked Barrett Avenue off from Harrison Street as well as the Barrett Avenue Exit from Washington Street. No officials details from the department have been released at this time regarding the incident or the condition of the drivers.

This incident follows multiple fatal motorcycle crashes that occurred in the City of Jamestown during the month of July. On July 6th, 26-year-old Kyle Pitts died after striking a telephone pole on Buffalo Street, and 35-year old Benny L. Salva, who died on July 13th after striking a tree near the intersection of Barrett Ave. and McKinley Ave.

This is a developing story. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

  1. Because he’s motorcycle drivers drive like idiothey figure invisible or something.I don’t feel sorry for him.I see everyday over a Delaware.Popping Willie’s high speeds going up.There all down there they get what they ask for

    1. put your stupid ideals aside and take in that another human is in a life threatening situation scumbag

  2. One day you will get what you deserve 🤫

  3. They ride like total ass hats down Barrett and surrounding neighborhoods. Standing 1 foot on seat the other on the handle bars, ot like one said wheelies standing on seat fast as they want running thru the 4 way stop.

  4. Why was there to witness it he was absolutely not driving like an ass! Your comment was totally unnecessary!

  5. That wasn’t the case in this incident though.

  6. I live in this area of town- there is a box truck that parks on the street just near this accident- it limits visibility for people leaving the bridge and turning onto Barrett. The box truck itself was once hit badly, there are constant near misses occurring in that area. I’m curious if the box truck’s parked location had anything to do with this accident. If so, a simple “no parking” sign or “limited visibility” sign could save lives.

    1. That was a topic brought up while we were all there. The female police officer on the scene brought it up! I am praying for a speedy recovery. One of the most traumatic things I’ve ever seen! Aside from watching my husband wreck his motorcycle. 💔

  7. I did not say that particular person was, but if u live around here like I do then my comment was absolutely not unnecessary, Sorry if you got offended.

    1. That unnecessary comment wasn’t for you, it was for Bruce!

  8. But you wouldn’t be saying anything in that means if it were to be one of your loved ones. Eat shit 💩

  9. Yeah actually I would so ,how bout u eat shit.. Don’t like the facts u are probably a part of jamestown’s problems. Yall quick to jump a fence for no reason. Simple facts are a lot of the bike riders around here do stupid shit.

  10. Your comment is very rude and unnecessary! He was abiding by the street laws. He was driving as he should! Goodbye!

  11. I hadn’t considered this angle before. It’s refreshing!

  12. I really appreciate content like this—it’s clear, informative, and actually helpful. Definitely worth reading!
