(WNY News Now) – A house fire on Beachview Drive in Silver Creek was determined to be accidental, caused by a gas stove burner left on, according to fire investigators.
On August 9, 2025, at approximately 2:59 p.m., the Silver Creek Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on Beachview Drive in the Village of Silver Creek. Mutual aid departments also assisted at the scene.
By 3:29 p.m., the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was called in to determine the origin and cause of the fire. Their investigation concluded that the fire started on top of the kitchen stove. It was caused by a gas stove burner that had been left on, which ignited nearby combustible materials.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The incident is officially classified as accidental.
