(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, N.Y. – A two-day narcotics investigation in the City of Dunkirk resulted in multiple arrests, drug seizures, and cash confiscations following search warrants executed on September 3 and 4, 2025.

Dunkirk, N.Y. – According to the Dunkirk Police Department, Narcotics Investigators from the Dunkirk Police, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and Jamestown Police executed a search warrant at 500 Deer Street on Wednesday, September 3. Entry into the residence was made by the Dunkirk Police Special Response Team (SRT).

Inside, investigators located Luis A. Sanchez, 44, and Octavia Brown, 33, both of Dunkirk. A search uncovered 28.7 grams of cocaine, drug packaging materials, digital scales, and $415 in cash. Sanchez and Brown were charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

The following day, on Thursday, September 4, investigators executed another search warrant at 317 Lake Shore Drive East. The Dunkirk Police SRT again made entry, where Johnny Torres, 32, of Dunkirk was located. Officers recovered 37.6 grams of crack cocaine, drug packaging materials, scales, and $1,014 in cash. Torres was also charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

All three suspects were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department for processing and later arraigned in Dunkirk City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Authorities emphasized the importance of community involvement in combating narcotics activity and encouraged residents to report suspicious behavior.
