(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A 38-year-old Jamestown man is facing multiple felony charges after police responded to a domestic dispute late Monday night on the city’s west side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the third platoon were called to a west side residence at 11:47 p.m. on September 22, 2025. Investigators determined that the suspect, identified as Michael C. Hillman, unlawfully entered the victim’s home, where he allegedly choked the victim in violation of an active stay-away order of protection.
Police say Hillman was located a short time later and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
Hillman is charged with burglary in the first degree, two counts of aggravated criminal contempt, strangulation in the second degree, and assault in the third degree. Authorities noted that one of the contempt charges stems from a prior conviction. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
