JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — On October 17, 2025, at approximately 11:28 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to a report of two males arguing near a north side business.
Upon arrival, officers determined that 39-year-old Larico R. Jones, a resident of Georgia, had allegedly threatened another man with a firearm during the dispute. Police said the victim was holding a 2-year-old child at the time of the confrontation.

A search of the area led officers to recover a loaded Kel-Tec .380 caliber pistol concealed underneath Jones’s vehicle. Investigators said Jones does not possess a valid pistol permit.
Jones was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. He faces multiple charges, including Menacing in the Second Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.
