(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A routine traffic stop early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of two Jamestown residents after police say both provided false information and one was found in possession of narcotics.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon conducted a vehicle stop at approximately 1:33 a.m. on October 15, 2025, near the intersection of Hazeltine Avenue and Delaware Avenue for a traffic infraction. During the investigation, police determined that two passengers in the vehicle had given false names to officers in an apparent attempt to conceal active warrants.

The passengers, identified as Todd A. Haskins and Christine J. Muoio, were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Police said further investigation revealed that Haskins was in possession of a quantity of fentanyl.

Both Haskins and Muoio were charged with two counts of Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree. Haskins faces an additional charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Both individuals are scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
