(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, N.Y. — A narcotics investigation in the City of Dunkirk led to the seizure of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with the arrest of a 45-year-old man on multiple felony drug charges.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a lower apartment at 209 Lincoln Avenue on March 18, 2026, at approximately 12:18 p.m. The operation involved the Dunkirk Police Department, narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, and the Jamestown Police Department.
Prior to the warrant being served, investigators observed Fernando Martinez Jr., 45, of Dunkirk, leaving the residence. He was stopped a short distance away by Dunkirk police.

During the search of the apartment, investigators reported seizing approximately 13.74 grams of fentanyl, 11.29 grams of crack cocaine, and 2.4 grams of methamphetamine. Authorities also recovered scales, packaging materials commonly used in the distribution of narcotics, and $677 in cash.

Martinez was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, and one count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
He was transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and later arraigned in the City of Dunkirk Court.
