Authorities entered the residence and located Ramos-Gonzalez hiding in a bedroom closet. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Following further investigation, officers allege that Ramos-Gonzalez bit the victim, causing minor injuries. Police also report that he prevented the victim from leaving a bedroom, restricting her ability to care for the household. As a result, three children in the home were allegedly left living in unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Ramos-Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of aggravated criminal contempt, one count of unlawful imprisonment, one count of third-degree assault, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
