(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Jamestown resident was charged with criminal trespass after police responded to a 911 call reporting a person inside a condemned home on Cross Street in Jamestown, New York.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A 911 investigation led to a trespass arrest on Cross Street in Jamestown on May 16, 2026, after officers discovered a woman exiting a condemned residence through a window, according to police.
At approximately 1:35 p.m. on May 16, members of the Jamestown Police First Platoon responded to a report of a female inside a residence on Cross Street. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined the property had been officially condemned.
During the investigation, officers observed 24-year-old Jamestown resident Taylor M. Bentley exiting the structure through a side window. She was taken into custody at the scene without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Following processing, Bentley was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. She was subsequently issued an appearance ticket and released, with instructions to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
