According to prosecutors, Cheektowaga Police responded to a home on Ellen Drive on June 1 at approximately 3:30 p.m. after receiving a 911 call. Officers found Mohamed’s wife, 26-year-old Aaisha Abdulla, along with a 4-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy, deceased inside the residence. Authorities allege Mohamed intentionally caused their deaths.
Prosecutors also allege that earlier that day, at about 2:38 p.m., Buffalo Police responded to a reported shooting at a store on the 1000 block of Grant Street near Military Road. The victim, 43-year-old Shukri Muthana, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mohamed is accused of intentionally causing the store clerk’s death.
Mohamed remains jailed without bail and is scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial conference on July 8, 2026.
If convicted on the highest charges, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The investigation involved the Cheektowaga Police Department and Buffalo Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by the Erie County District Attorney’s Office Homicide Bureau.
As with all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
