(WNY News Now) – A 38-year-old Cattaraugus woman was arrested on aggravated DWI and other charges following a vehicle crash in Little Valley.

Christie L. Vancuren, 38, of Cattaraugus, was arrested by Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies on Sept. 9 after a vehicle struck a fence at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds and a support wire for a telephone pole.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the crash at about 6:50 p.m. Vancuren was identified as the driver during the investigation.

Deputies said Vancuren was taken into custody due to suspected intoxication. She was charged with Aggravated DWI, DWI, and speed not reasonable and prudent.

Vancuren was processed and released with an appearance ticket for the Town of Little Valley Court at a later date.

The charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
