Heritage Residents Gifted Patriotic Blankets From Local Veterans Group

GERRY – A number of Heritage Ministries skilled nursing facilities in Chautauqua County recently received patriotic blankets from a local veterans group as part of their crochet club.

The PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer to Peer Program presented patriotic lap blankets to United States Military Veterans at Heritage Village, Heritage Park, and Heritage Green.

The Dwyer Program’s crochet club includes female and male veterans, along with veteran wives and community members.











“In a tight-knit community such as ours, we are blessed to collaborate with the groups like the PFC Joseph P. Dwyer Peer to Peer Program,” said Heritage Vice President of Marketing and Development Lisa Haglund. “We would like to express our gratitude to the Dwyer Crochet Club for their heartfelt gifts to our residents.”

Any area veteran who may be interested in joining the crochet club can contact Cindy Reidy, Project Coordinator, Veterans Service Agency- Joseph P. Dwyer Program, at 716-661-8447 for additional information. The club provide instruction and material, and meet every Monday morning at the Falconer Legion on Main Street in Falconer, NY.
