Jamestown Man Charged With DWI Following Crash

MINA – A City of Jamestown man is charged with DWI after Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies said he crashed his car while driving drunk on Rt. 426 Wednesday.

James V. Sandford, 58, was arrested and charged with DWI, speed not reasonable and move from lane unsafely.

Deputies said while Sandford was processed at the Sheriff’s Office in Mayville he become disorderly and damaged property. He was additionally charged with third-degree criminal mischief.


Sandford was taken to the county jail where he will answer to his charges during centralized arraignment.
