Storm Leaves Its Mark On Warren County

WARREN – The severe line of storms that bullied its way through the region left its mark on Warren County, according to information available late Sunday.

Trees were reported down on Mohawk Avenue, the Conewango Valley Country Club and throughout the county.

There was a report of a tree on a vehicle in North Warren. A tree was reported to have struck a house on East Fifth Avenue and a tree struck a house on Alexander Street with the active power line crashed down as well.


Wires were reported down on McPhearson Street, Cobham Park Road, Wilson Street and Conewango Avenue, where there was also a report of a smoking power line leading into a house.

Emergency personal also responded to a Youngsville convenience store for a report of a leaking tanker.

There were also reports of vehicle traffic driving over downed active lines.



Penelec reported 1,283 customers without power in Warren County.

National Grid reported 35 outages in Chautauqua County,with power expected to be restored by noon, Monday. National Grid also was assessing 72 power outages with no timetable for restoration.
