JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is facing charges after Jamestown Police said he hit a person in the head with a broom during an altercation Thursday night at a Maple Street house.

Justin Anderson, 28, is charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police said Anderson hit a person in the head with a broom, causing a sever laceration which required medical attention.

The person, who was not identified, was taken to UPMC Chautauqua Hospital for treatment.

Anderson was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
