Man Taken To Hospital With Serious Injuries Following Assault

NAPOLI – A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries after the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said he was assaulted by two men early Saturday morning at a Napoli residence.

Deputies alleged that Mathew W. Beaver, 30, of 13365 Rt. 438, Gowanda, and Dashawn A. Hamilton, 27, of 17 Sandrock Road, Buffalo, assaulted the man with a “dangerous instrument” following a verbal argument at the residence.

Beaver and Hamilton were charged with second-degree assault. Deputies said the two were remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail.











A female, Corie Royce, 37, 13365 Route 438, Gowanda, was charged with tampering with evidence and released on $1,000 bail. Royce was released on bail.

The victim was taken to UPMC Hamot Hospital with serious injuries. Deputies did not update his condition.
