BUSTI – Lakewood-Busti Police are seeking the public’s help following the death of a cow and its newborn calf on Donelson Road earlier this month.

Officers said they were contacted by the cow’s owner who believes the cows were shot and killed on the weekend of Saturday, May 5, 2019. The owner found the cows days later dead in the pasture.

On that weekend the owner reportedly heard gunshots coming from the five corners of Busti, near where the pasture is located.

After interviewing a number of people in the area Lakewood-Busti Police have not developed any good leads.

Anyone with information that could aid their investigation is asked to call Lakewood-Busti Police at 716-763-9563.
