Silver Creek Man Charged With Firing Gun Across Roadway

SILVER CREEK – A Silver Creek man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly fired a .22 cal. rifle across a roadway into a grape orchard.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department reports they responded to a report of a gunshot at noon, Thursday on Robinson Street in Silver Creek. The Deputies’ investigation revealed that Jacob D. Seeley, 26, of 71 Robinson St., allegedly discharged a single round from a .22 cal. rifle across the roadway and toward a grape vineyard.

Seeley was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and released under probation supervision. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Crime Investigation Division assisted at the scene.
