Local Storms Bring Power Outages, Limbs Down

JAMESTOWN – The storms that passed through the region Saturday left a smattering of power outages, downed limbs and a few downed secondary power lines.

National Grid reports 1,903 customers without power since shortly before 7 p.m., but expect the power to be back on by approximately 9 p.m. or so. Also reported on the National Grid sight are the following outages:

  • Town of Harmony, 76 customers;
  • Niobe, 66;
  • from Carlberg Road to WillardStreet Extension, 33;
  • Fluvanna-Townline Road, 43;
  • Gerry, 5 or less; Stockton, 49 and Arkwright, 5 or less.

Trees and secondary power lines were down at Brookside Estates. There was also minor road flooding outside of Frewsburg. Flooding was reported along Route 60.

Heavy rains with some lightning blanketed Warren and North Warren briefly.
