POMFRET – A Brocton man who was allegedly high on heroin suffered minor injuries following a one vehicle crash on Route 60 and Webster Road Monday afternoon.

New York State Police said 33-year-old Marcus T. Watters’ vehicle entered the oncoming lane of traffic, drifted off the shoulder, ran over a speed limit sign, then struck a driveway culvert and became airborne.

Troopers said the vehicle then landed, stuck a fire hydrant and came to rest on the passenger side.

When first responders arrived, troopers said Watters was found unconscious, hanging from his seatbelt.

Troopers said he was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Police charged Watters with DWAI drugs, speeding and fail to maintain lane.
