Cattaraugus County Sheriff Warns Of Telephone Scam

LITTLE VALLEY – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department is warning residents about a on-going telephone scam.

The Sheriff said an unidentified person is calling residents and claiming to be a National Grid representative offering discounts.

The person then asks for personal information such as social security and account numbers. The calls are from area codes 808 and 718.











The Department urges residents not to disclose any information and to call law enforcement if they receive such a call.
