Crews Respond To Serious Crash Involving New York State Police Vehicle

Updated reporting: State Trooper Hits Van, Causing Crash On I-90

SHERIDAN – Emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle crash involving a New York State Police vehicle on Westbound I-90 between exits 58 and 59 Monday afternoon.

Chautauqua County Fire Officials dispatched Chautauqua County EMS, Fredonia and Silver Creek Fire Departments to the scene just after 1:30 p.m.

The passenger vehicle involved had five people inside.











New York State DOT officials report both westbound lanes of I-90 are closed and traffic is being diverted to exit 58 in Silver Creek so a helicopter can land.

No word on how many people where hurt in the crash or the extent of injuries sustained.
