Man Allegedly Held Woman At Knife Point During Hostage Situation In Jamestown

JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown man was arrested after Jamestown Police said he held a woman hostage Saturday morning at a West 8th Street address.

Police said they responded to a report of a person with a weapon at 40 W. 8th St. just after 9 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived on scene officers report Peter D. Rosado, 37, was allegedly holding a woman at knifepoint.

Officers said they negotiated with Rosado for a period of time before intervening and taking him into custody. During the struggle one officers sustained a hand laceration from the knife, police said.


Police charged Rosado with first degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree menacing, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, second-degree assault and resisting arrest.

He was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
