Jamestown Man Allegedly Tries To Run From Officers During Traffic Stop

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man allegedly ran from his vehicle when officers stopped him for not wearing a seat belt Monday afternoon in the area of Allen and Pullman Streets, according to the Jamestown Police Department. 

Devven L. Fletcher, 34, allegedly refused to comply when officers gave him commands to stop.

Police said Fletcher allegedly ran into a home, but exited a short time later.











Officers said he allegedly continued to not comply when told he was under arrest.

Fletcher was taken to Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment on charges of no seat belt, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
