PORTVILLE – A Portville man struck a tree and hay bail during an accident Sunday morning on Lillibridge Road, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Christopher Lawton, 33, reportedly left the roadway after crossing into the oncoming lane.
Lawton was taken from the scene to Olean General Hospital for suspected serious injuries.
Lawton was issued appearance tickets on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right.
Lawton is due back in Portville Town Court at a later date.
