JAMESTOWN – A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with a mid-morning stabbing that happened near Forest and Prather Avenues.

Jamestown Police say Jermaine J. Gordon allegedly stabbed a man in his upper body multiple times.

Police said Gordon was arrested around 5:45 Wednesday evening at an address on Tew Street.

The victim is currently in stable condition at UPMC Hamot Hospital, police said.

Gordon is charged with first-degree assault and is currently in Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

Police said the investigation is continuing and additional charges are expected in the case.
