Discolored Water Expected In Jamestown Area Following Pump Shutdown

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Water Division is warning customers to be on the lookout for discolored water today.

BPU officials say a water pump shutdown overnight at the Cassadaga Pump Station causing discolored water.

Crews report the water is expected to spread system-wide in the next 12 to 24 hours.











Customers are asked to avoid doing laundry until their water appears to be clear.

Water is expected to clear by Thursday morning.
