JAMESTOWN – An inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail allegedly attempted to escape from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office custody while at UPMC Chautauqua on Aug. 31. 

Alden W. Wing, 32, was charged with second-degree attempted escape and resisting arrest after an arrest warrant was issued from the City of Jamestown Court.

The warrant was reportedly placed as a detainer on Wing at the Chautauqua County Jail. He’ll appear in City Court for arraignment at a later date.
