Olean Police Investigating Video That Threatens Students

OLEAN – City of Olean Police are investigating two videos circulating on Facebook that appears to threaten youths at the district.

The videos posted Thursday night shows their pictures, with their name with the phrase “RIP” at the top of the photo. The videos show about 10 people in total.

Police say they plan to have a presence at Olean High School Friday.

The School District posting on social media they take all threats seriously.

“The Olean City School District is aware that there has been a threat posted on social media. The district takes all threats seriously and the authorities are aware and conducting an investigation,” the district wrote. “The safety of our students and employees is our top priority and we are dedicated to insure they are safe.”
