POLAND – A Minnesota based agricultural commodities is closing their Town of Poland plant at the end of November.

Cargill Inc. announced Wednesday they are closing their Town of Poland animal feed manufacturing facility in an effort to streamline operations in the Northeast market.

A total of seven employees will be affected by the move. The company says it is working with them to identify potential employment opportunities at other operational sites.


“Cargill will work with existing customers throughout this transition to ensure they receive products and services without disruptions,” the company said in a statement. “Cargill remains committed to New York. We employ approximately 500 people across 8 locations in the state of New York and will continue to remain invested in those communities.”

The facility is slated to close on Friday, November 29.
