JHS Red Raider Marching Band To Host Free Community Performance

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown High School Red Raider Marching Band will be hosting a free community performance this weekend, ahead of their competition at the New York State Field Band Championships.

Officials with Jamestown Public Schools say the band will perform a free show on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Strider Field with a rain location at the Jefferson Middle School gymnasium.

On Sunday, the band will travel to Syracuse to defend their championship title. The team will compete in the national class championships at 8:57 p.m. at the Carrier Dome.


The 46th championship show brings together over 50 of the finest high school marching bands in the northeastern United States.

Tickets for the New York State Field Band Conference Championships can be purchased on the day of the event at the Carrier Dome.  The admission price for adults is $19 and for students/seniors the price is $13. The tickets are good for the entire day of the competition.
