Facebook Launches Preventive Health Tool

MENLO PARK, CA – Facebook is launching a new tool to help users track their health.

It’s called ‘Preventive Health’. It focuses on tracking user’s cardiovascular health, cancer screenings and seasonal flu.

You just enter your age and sex, and the app will make personal recommendations like when to get your cholesterol tested, or when to get a flu shot.











Facebook is partnering with some heavy-hitters for the initiative including the American Cancer Society, the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Their experts helped build the tool with the most up-to-date, accurate resources and information.

The ‘Preventive Health’ tool, currently available only in the United States.
