GA Family Services To Close Residential Treatment Program

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown’s GA Family services says they are closing their residential treatment and learning centers.

Gustavus Adolphus Family Services filed a 90-day closure plan with New York’s office of of Child and Family Services and state education department.

Center officials expect the closure to effect around 100 employees.


The closing is not expected to effect the Lutheran Social Services side of the operation.

Currently, 60 youth attend the center.

They are expected to close sometime in February.
