JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown man is behind bars after allegedly possessing 12 1/2 grams of fentanyl following a probation warrant check on Tuesday.

Jamestown Police say Jesus M. Rodriguez Marrero, 44, was observed walking on East 6th Street where he was taken into custody without incident.

Officers discovered the alleged fentanyl on Rodriguez Marrero once inside the Jamestown City Jail.

Rodriguez Marrero is charged with third-degree criminal possession of a control substance and is currently waiting arrangement.
