JAMESTOWN – A City of Jamestown mother is facing charges after Jamestown Police say they found her children living in a home in deplorable conditions Friday.

Rickie Ecker, 30, is charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Jamestown Police Officers say they found a four-year-old boy wandering around in the area of Winsor and East Second Streets unattended just after 4:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The boy was able to walk the officers back to his house a block away.

In an attempt to make contact with the boy’s mother; officers say inside the house they found urine, canine feces and garbage.

Additionally, officers said the kitchen had little to no food and the house did not have an operating bathroom.

Through further investigation, police discovered Ecker staying at a nearby house with her three other children.
