JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police are looking into the fourth drive-by shooting in less than a week’s time.

The latest incident of violence happened on Christmas day in the 600 block of Newland Avenue.

Witnesses say two vehicles, a dark-colored SUV and a silver sedan, were spotted in the area just after 4 p.m.

Hours before that, two other shootings were reported on Sturges Street around 1:15 a.m. and on Christmas eve in the area of Price Street.

Last Thursday, police were called to an early evening shooting that left a Fulton Street house riddled with bullets.

A shooting witness, who asked to not be identified, said multiple shots were fired at a house from a black SUV.

“He drove by once and shot three times,” the woman said. “He then came through again, shot twice more and then a third time shooting three more.”

“Clearly, these people don’t care about the families and kids here,” she furthered. “My son’s bedroom is a front room.”

In all shooting incidents, no one was hurt.

As of 9:30 Thursday morning Jamestown Police have yet to release any information regarding the reported incidents.
