Bills Fall Short In Season Closer Against Jets

ORCHARD PARK – With their playoff spot locked, the Buffalo Bills mainly used backup players in a 13-6 loss against the New York Jets, giving the Bills a final record of 10-6 in the 2019 NFL Season. 

In minimal action, Allen went three of five passing for five yards.

Subbing in for Allen, Matt Barkley finished the game 18-35 for 202 yards, two interceptions and two fumbles, losing one of them.





Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie led Buffalo’s rushing attack with 30 yards on two carries.

In his first action since week eight, Duke Williams finished with 108 yards on six receptions.

Tommy Sweeney caught five passes for 76 yards. ‘





















On the defensive side, Corey Liuget and Siren Neil led Buffalo with six total tackles each.

Trent Murphy posted both of the Bills sacks on Jets QB Sam Darnold.

Levi Wallace intercepted a pass for the second time in three games.

For the Jets, Darnold finished 23-36 for 199 yards, a touchdown and an interception.









Le’veon Bell ran for a game-high 41 yards on 16 carries.

Jamison Crowder caught eight passes for 66 yards and a touchdown.

On the Jets defense, James Burgess had a game-high nine total tackles and an interception.

Arthur Maulet had seven tackles and an interception.

The Jets finished the 2019 season 7-9, including a 6-2 record in their last eight games, failing to make the playoffs for the ninth consecutive season.

Meanwhile, at 10-6, Buffalo will have an AFC Wild Card Playoff game on the road vs. the Houston Texans.

The day and kickoff time for the game is still to be determined.
