JAMESTOWN – A New Year’s storm will likely bring heavy snow and gusty winds to the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Forecasters say we could see a total snow accumulation of four to eight inches with winds gusting as high as 35 mph in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.

Furthermore, periods of snow will likely result in covered roads and bring limited visibilities.

Experts say to slow down and use caution while driving in the region.
